PERSONAL GROWTH HYPNOSIS

.
Numerous scientific studies have emerged in recent years showing that the hypnotized mind can exert a real and powerful effect on the body” The Wall Street Journal” October 7th, 2003
“Studies show Hypnosis can treat a multitude of disorders”-Psychology Today Magazine
Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy have many practical applications to overcome obstacles and help uncover one’s true potential.

STRESS MANAGEMENT

.Studies show that almost 80% of physical and psychological problems are stress related.
“Hypnosis is the most potent non-pharmacological relaxing agent known to science.”G. V. Sunnen, M.D.
Stress is the precursor of many physical ills. It can lead to high blood pressure that can influence the organs of the body. Stress can also lead to muscle tightness, chronic back and neck problems or strain. It is known that chronic stress starts a cascading negative effect on the body’s immune system.
Studies made with a group of students show that stress reduces the effectiveness of the human immune system, reducing the number of immune system’s cells, along with the human body’s ability to fight disease, while states of relaxation, meditation, hypnosis and guided imagery increase the immune system’s cells number, and the body’s ability to fight diseases. It is mind over the immune system, called psychoneuroimmunology.
“When a person is relaxed, the body’s own innate capacity to heal is activated. Studies show that when a person is relaxed, the level of the immune system’s T(killer) cells increases, and when a person is stressed, the level of these cells decreases.” B. Klinger M.D., Medical Director, New Beth Israel Center of Health and Healing, NYC
Stress is an attitude of mind. Operating from a disempowering program of thinking could lead to stress. With hypnotherapy, the client learns how to operate from a calm, positive and optimistic mental state.
The process of hypnosis induction and deepening is very efficient in reducing stress. Using relaxing imagery in association with positive suggestions for the subconscious mind that promote deep relaxation, calmness, tranquility, self-confidence, an optimistic view on life and unconditional love yield great results in eliminating or managing stress.
In addition, during the hypnotherapy session, dr. Gabor creates an audio recording for the client to listen to at home, for reinforcement.

OVERCOMING FEARS,  PHOBIAS, ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS

Hypnosis can be a remarkably effective treatment for all types of fears and phobias. The most common include: fear of flying, of heights, of water, of insects, of rodents, fear of open spaces or of confined spaces, fear of dogs or cats, fear of dental procedures.
Hypnosis is a very effective tool in removing these irrational fears that are major obstacles to having a normal life in modern society.
Kevin Costner flew out his personal Hypnotist to Hawaii to help him overcome sea sickness during the filming of the movie “Waterworld”.

IMPROVING RELATIONSHIPS

Happiness and success depend on our ability to create and maintain great relationships; to give and receive love.
NLP and Hypnotherapy can be effectively used for helping existing relationships that are going through difficulties (between friends, within families or with colleagues), for boosting self-confidence, improving self-image, and becoming confident in meeting and making new friends; it can also help with managing the stress that sometimes exists in relationships.
University of Michigan researchers found that the average couple has one significant fight per month and several small ones. The experts agree that how you fight makes a big difference.
Our self-image affects how other people feel about us.  It is well known that 90 percent of our communication is non-verbal and also unconscious.  Through our bodylanguage, tone of voice, and the emotional signals we are emitting, we may find ourselves sending contradictory messages, by sending one message verbally, and a totally different message with our body language.
NLP and Hypnotherapy can help with:
Improving communication
Increasing tolerance and becoming more forgiving
Decreasing criticism and commenting on the positive
Evaluating the relationship that you have with yourself
Attaining emotional balance and eliminating pain, sadness, grief and guilt
Understanding the other person’s perspective
Controlling the stress that affects your relationships
Bringing back the love and the passion in a romantic relationship
Recovering faster after break-ups
Giving unconditional love to yourself and to everybody around you

ATTAINING SELF- CONFIDENCE AND SELF- ESTEEM

Actor Sylvester Stallone used Hypnosis to have the courage to submit his “Rocky” script to a famous Hollywood Producer, and while on location he “would lie down and listen to a specially made subconscious motivation tape”.
Our behavior is a direct result of the person we believe we are, our self-image. This self-perception is very powerful, it acts like an internal map that is guiding our behavior. Each failure reinforces the self-fulfilling prophecy of our negative self-image.  This limited self-image is responsible for our self-destructive behavior, for our unconscious sabotage, and for the emotional signals that we are emitting.
Research has shown that by the age of fourteen, 98 percent of children have a negative self-image.

OVERCOMING SHYNESS

There are people for whom deep shyness is a serious problem. This extreme timidity is often associated with lack of confidence and low self-esteem. NLP and Hypnotherapy can be very beneficial in exploring the reasons for this deep shyness and to help gain self-esteem and boost confidence in forming relationships with other people.

ELIMINATING GRIEF

Jackie Kennedy-Onassis (1929-1994) used Hypnotherapy to release the grief after the tragic events in her life, and to bring considerable comfort. During Hypnotherapy, comforting past experiences and fears is allowing the person to come to terms with these tragic events.

IMPROVING PUBLIC SPEAKING ABILITIES

Our behavior is a learned behavior governed by the subconscious mind which is the software that runs the most advanced bio-computer, our brain. Dry mouth, fast heart, blush, sweaty palms, and a blank mind are signs of fear of public speaking. Many people experience this fear; actually, it is the most common fear among Americans. NLP and Hypnotherapy are very efficient techniques that can help you talk like a pro.
Rehearsing your speech whilst in a deep relaxed, hypnotic state, will produce the right blueprint in your mind, that will allow you to have a great public speaking performance.
All great speakers know how to use techniques of self-hypnotic rehearsal. NLP and  Hypnosis can change attitudes, can help you become relaxed and focused, charming and charismatic, and change your body language signals to match your verbal communication. This way you can become a great and pleasant communicator.

ENHANCING  MEMORY, CONCENTRATION, LEARNING AND CREATIVITY

The illiterate of the 25th century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.” -Alvin Toffler
Hypnosis can be used to help people improve study habits and test taking, improve concentration, and memory in order to remember details and perform better on exams.  Another aspect that can be improved with hypnosis is the stress and the anxiety before the test or the exam.  Before the exam the student will undergo a few Hypnosis sessions and this will improve retention of material by a significant amount.
Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was said that he had used hypnosis like trances for inspiration and to enhance his creativity.
Henry Ford (1863-1955) was said to have used hypnosis to improve the quality of his life.

IMPROVING SPORT PERFORMANCES

Winning is all in the mind.
There is scientific evidence that Hypnosis and Visualization techniques can be really helpful in boosting a player’s or a team’s performance, enabling them to focus their concentration, to block out distractions, eliminate stress, maintain a state of calmness and relaxation.  Hypnosis  enables athletes to realize their full potential, to attain peak performance and better cope with pressures of competition.
The power of the mind that Hypnosis unleashes, has been shown in a remarkable scientific study of athletes.  It demonstrated that when the athletes visualized or imagined themselves performing their sport, a physical change was recorded in the muscles.  The same muscle were firing in the same sequence as if the athletes were actually performing.
A study of college basketball players, involving 12 males and 12 females, showed that the players who used hypnosis had better shooting records than those who did not.
The WWF wrestler and former Olympic Champion Kurt Angle used Hypnosis to win the gold both in 1995 at freestyle world championships, and in 1996 Olympics. He acknowledges the important role Hypnosis played in helping him achieve both goals.  He declared:  “It definitely worked even though I was skeptical at first.  If you are a competitive athlete you need to be as mentally fit as you are physically.  The human mind is so powerful.  This was a complete natural, healthy way to get my mind ready for competition.”
Tennis player Jimmy Connors used Hypnosis to win the U.S. Open Championship.
Tiger Woods’ mental coach, hypnotizes him and uses visualization techniques to help him achieve focus and block out distractions on the golf course.
The golf champion Jack Nicklaus claims that his success is entirely owed to practicing concentration and visualization.
British golf player Nick Faldo, three time winner of the U.S. Masters, also used Hypnosis.
Irish boxer heavyweight champion Kevin McBride uses Hypnosis to prepare him for fights.
U.S. Olympic luge team member, Adam Heidt, has used Hypnosis to prepare for competitions.
British athlete Iwan Thomas, who won the World Cup title for the 400-meter, has used Hypnosis to enhance his performance, focus his concentration and block out distractions before the race.
Bob Reese, former trainer with the New York Jets, used Hypnosis with his players  to improve their performances and boost their chances of winning.  He didn’t use the term Hypnosis, he was calling it “high-power visualization techniques”.
